Hi Shelli

My hubby Jon eats cabbage almost daily both raw (coleslaw) and cooked either in a stir-fry or steamed. Both raw and cooked we find it tests negative for starch using iodine.

Many people here don't worry about iodine testing but Jon finds it very helpful. In the past there have been times he has flared up and we couldn't think why because we thought he was eating all "safe" foods. Then we would test something we hadn't bothered to test before and sure enough it would turn black, Jon would eliminate it and his flare would subside within a couple of days.

Keep going on the anti-candida diet for as long as you can handle it. It can take a few months to get rid of the nasty stuff. Jon did it for 6 months and even now (1 year later) he has no white sugar in his diet (or only tiny amounts < 1% such as added to mayo or bacon etc).

All the best
Chelsea
