Hi, I have just returned from holiday & looked at this post and couldn't agree more. Like Maryk up until a couple of years ago, I was getting iritis every few months for almost 20 years and yes it is serious, and must be treated without delay.I used to be able to get immediate hospital treatment being the posessor of an SOS card supplied by my local opthamologist, but unfortunately because I have been clear for over a year, this is no longer valid. My problem now is that to get a hospital appointment I have to be referred by my GP, and with GP appointments taking up to 2 weeks, what do i do?? I thought of using A&E,but the nearest is 16 miles away, whereas my eye clinic is 2 miles!!! I shall have to wait until the next flare up & report on the outcome. I wish everyone well who suffers with this.
