Iritis is not something you can afford to be stoic or complacent about - iritis is the 3rd leading CAUSE OF BLINDNESS!
It may be allergies but it may very well be iritis by the sound of your past and current symptoms. One symptom of eye inflammation is migraines. It is possible too that you have a chronic case where the inflammation is not so acute as to have you running screaming in pain to emergency. Regardless, that (a smouldering case) would still be dangerous and should be treated as an eye emergency!
Floaters have a number of causes (some are not serious) but *new* floaters in your field of vision can be an indication of a new or recurrent attack of iritis and warrant an eye examination, not by an optometrist but by an Ophthalmologist who can perform a slit lamp test.
If I had these symptoms, I would not put off having myself checked immediately..today!
