sounds like she's the one being upset by the news. sometimes people act wrongly and say the wrong things when they are scared. she lost one sister, maybe deep down inside she just doesn't want to lose another. and when people are scared, they often make no rational sense. and maybe i've judged your sister completely wrong as well, you know her and her motives far better than i do. sorry she said all the wrong things to you; some people don't have a clue how to be empathetic.  better to vent here than to end up in a fist fight with a sister! good for you!
