Ha ha, Louise. You are soooo right. Except for me a moments pleasure has been a couple months of pain. Once I'm off the wagon, it is Soooooooo hard to get on. I am in this viscious cycle of over-using nsaids to quiet the damage done by poor diet desicions. So my tummy hurts and wants bread/crackers to soak up the acid.
One thing that I think is kind of cool: when I do eat the bad stuff I am noticing other ways those foods were bad for me besides just the AS ways. For instance milk makes my sinus' plugged and my throat itchy. I have lived for years thinking that was "normal".

I'm so sorry about your food supply getting thrown away. That makes me want to cry for you!

The fact that you are doing all that you are with school and work speaks volumes about how much NSD is helping you. That is one busy life!!!
Thanks Jan for starting this topic. You are all gentle and non-judgemental (as well as Tink's confessional) and it is gently showing me the error of my ways. Well and then there's the fact that my hubby had to help me out of bed today.....that always brings one back to their senses!!! Not so gently, though.
I am having a good start to my day. I ate almond butter balls rolled in ground flax seed and a glass of low sugar almond milk. My diet is excluding fruit and all sugar plus starch and dairy. I get in trouble when I don't prepare ahead. If there is not safe stuff in the house to eat, I get weak willed in a hurry. So Louise is your cracker recipe in the forum?
Love and hugs,
-Donette
