that's good to know, unfortunately you had to learn the hard way,
but hopefully your experience will help the rest of us.
i had heard about that for the achilles tendon but not for the plantar fascia.
that's exactly how my wrist felt (preinjection) when i "snapped" something in my ulnar wrist while pouring water from a pot into the sink. but MRIs didn't show anything ruptured. however, all those small ligaments are hard to see tears in. so maybe i didn't rupture, but symptomatically all the docs including the hand surgeon were sure i did based on the symptoms and were amazed that the MRI didn't show even a tear, just inflammation and arthritis. but it did finally heal after a lot of aggressive treatment and a lot of rest.
after the "snap", i couldn't put any weight on it for about two and a half years. but if it had been a rupture, i'm assuming i never could have without repair. whereas i guess some kind of tear does eventually heal over. do you think that is a true statement?
