you have kids who know that one day they may have to look after you, so they can get use to the prospect.
Mine have said when I am in a wheelchair they will make me up like a drag queen with a huge feathered hat and leave me in the rain. (they assure me its a joke)
you also get to educate people about AS,
many people say to me, 'you dont look very disabled, whats wrong with you' so I tell them and they learn about AS.
