Rain!! Two weekends in a row!! Aren't we being blessed! Plus the temps are staying in the 80's. The early a.m. feels like early fall. I am so glad.

I appreciate you Buggy. You are always there even when you are having such a hard time yourself. Thank you for that.

Sometimes I think that when you see 3 in your family with Lupus and most of us with some kind of arthritic problem, you had rather ignore it than think the possibility is there that it could be you next. However, this sister has arthritis and has had a knee replacement which I took care of her throughout. I enjoyed being able to have her here and take care of her. She is just a very busy woman and I figure she doesn't even remember that (except to remind me that I should be glad that it is my arm that is the most painful and not my knee) She just has her own personality just as each of the 6 (yes 6) of us does.

Thanks for your encouragement. Hubby reminds me that "this is the day the Lord hath made. We will rejoice and be glad in it." He tells me that every morning and I need it every morning.

Have a wonderful weekend with your family. I hope you are painfree enough to enjoy it. Are you making holiday plans? We will have the same one as usual. Our grown kids here are headed to TX to see our grand who just started college. She has a birthday next week. I miss her terribly.

I have a great family. I shouldn't even complain about them but sometimes it helps to verbalize it to someone. I would never say anything back to her or even to others in the family. I am just going to be more careful what we talk about.

When I first got sick (100 years ago) it was very interesting to me how some people just disappeared into the woodwork. I don't know if they were never friends in the first place or if they just don't know how to handle it. It was a real eyeopener and a lot of sadness. Then there are those who stick with you through everything. What a blessing to have those people in our lives. That is the way I feel about all of you here at KickAS

(((Amy))) I love it! I never thought about that. It sure sounds like you are living my life or following in my footsteps. When I went to the nutrionist, she said, "You are eating like a 90 year old woman." and I just told her that when you don't feel like eating and nothing tastes good, why eat? She told me my body was shutting down protecting itself because of no nourishment. Hubby helped me and we got busy eating healthy and he has lost 25 pounds by not eating junk. I am feeling better. Enough said. I haven't lost much at all. I guess that just shows that I wasn't even eating the junk. Sometimes I want a glass of water and sit there and decide how thirsty I really am as to whether or not I want to get up and get it. If I could just train this dog!

Thanks for such an understanding post. My hubby has even told me to throw a fit and throw things, etc. but I guess that just isn't me. I sometimes late at night have a quiet cry but that is about it. My friends here are the ones who are blessed to hear all of my complaints. Sorry about that but it sure is nice to talk to people who understand and listen to all your aches and pains.

Thank you. I will definitely consider being easier on myself. I guess part of me is afraid I might stay that way.

I loved your post. I always said that I don't care what you call me just as long as you call me in time to eat!
I don't know what happened but it just hit me right between the eyes later what I had done. My youngest daughter says (when I do things like that) "Don't worry Mom. I just figure your pain meds kicked in." By the way she is 38. It's not like she was a kid laughing about my pain meds.

Oh my that made me sound old. Remind me not to talk about kids ages any more or the fact that our first grand is off in another state going to college! No wonder this body is falling apart.

ya...I get the water thing staying cranky is definitely a risk...but I have an excuse for that too! I keep saying that I'm in greeting card training and someday, I am gonna get that old witch Maxine the card lady's job! Then I'll make my million and get my friggin' house...if i don't find a bonafide lawsuit over gross neglect first!! Ames

Let's agree to both get a drink when we need it. I have been keeping a glass of iced water with me wherever I am. Took a bottle to get my hair cut today. Yes, I am supposed to be down until the end of next week but priorities you know. I feel better just looking in the mirror and not screaming. I can imagine what my hubby thinks. My hair guy is great. He tells me to just call him and he will work me in and he keeps me sitting until he just has to move me to another station. He is great and I feel better because he keeps telling me how gorgeous I am. I am so easily fooled but it works. I am only 2 weeks out from a hair cut but I had to have someone else do it and it was such a mess he had to cut it pretty short so he can shape it back into it's style (whatever it was)

yes somtimes when flare just stick for a longer period than the rest of the family gets impatients,...........
But just stick in, it has to go away soon.
As I recall your hubby is ok, I am sure he is just trying to be supportive.
