Sometimes the fingers on my right hand will curl inward and when it gets bad I can't straighten them mentally, only by pulling them back in position, and I've had cortisone shots in my palm at the base of whatever finger is troubling me. Not a pleasant 30 seconds - - there is some sort of anesthetic in the shot but it doesn't kick in for a bit - - but fixes the problem.
