I have the sciatic pain. I had back pain for years..on and off. And yet when I was dx with AS...first came the hands, the TMJ, the elbows locking up....THEN my sciatic pain and ever dreadful si pain. I have had the sciatic pain pre and post op. It never went away as I had hoped with the back surgery. I have a bulging disc at l3 and l4/l5 are fused. My si is fused. My neurosurgeon said it was due to the AS that the pain in my thighs would be there forever. How comforting no?
I noticed you mentioned femeroral nerve pain in right thigh?? I have had pain in my right thigh that began AFTER my surgery. The left pain never left. But when I tried explaining to the docs they said it was post op nerve pain. Here it is almost a year..and still the pain continues. I always wondered if a nerve there was irritated.
