Ankle. Ouch. I did it on vacation on 6/12, but still had a lot of fun. I was able to walk on it, but limped. By the time we flew home, I was limping enough to make the opposite hip and SI joint hurt.
But when I went back to work last Monday, well, that was a whole new sort of pain. Limped favoring the left foot (sprain), but my hip and SI hurt, so I limped favoring the right side....weird sort of walking.
Called my primary care doc Tuesday morning bright and early. He wasn't in the office so I agreed to see one of his office-mates. Got 6-views of ankle, which didn't show a break. This is good, I suppose. He said to either stay off of it or wear my cam-walker boot. He also said they would send the xrays to the radiologist and call me if he found something else. I didn't get a call, so that either means it was okay or else the message got missed. I'll wait it out till Monday, but I've got a bad feeling about this.
It's still swollen enough that I can't see the 5th met bone under my skin....it's been 16 days! That bone is quite visible on the other foot...I've got skinny feet.
5 years ago, I tripped down 2 steps and rolled this same ankle: avulsion fracture of fibula, shattered 5th met, broken-non-displaced 4th met and a month later, stress fracture of 3rd met showed up. This time, it was slipping on a mossy rock in a stream.
And tonight, one of our toilets totally broke (inside). We will have to get a new one. This means DH is going to have to tile that part of the bathroom! Off to Lowe's (our Home Depot) in the morning. He's been putting this off for at least 3 yrs. Not any more!!!! Maybe this should have been in anal leakage??? LOL.
I've got to get to sleep. The water spewing everywhere (all our towels are in the wash now) is a little stimulating, though. Poor DH had to run to the garage and then out to the meter in the front yard....but he always falls asleep in a flash. Grrrr.
