I recently got a book on Driving with AS from my local Arthritis Society here in Toronto, Canada. They showed some add on head restraints that may help in certain situations. I'm always afraid of being rear ended and the result that could happen. Has anyone tried one of these and, if so, how did it feel driving with it. There is a web site http://www.addonheadrest.com/ .
I'd appreciate any feedback ... Thanks ... René

This looks great! I have such neck pain while driving. I try to sit perfectly straight, but most car headrests lean slightly forward. I took my headrest off and turned it around to help this a bit, but still the seat has a little too much curve and eventually my lower back is uncomfortable.
I think I may invest in one of these addons....

Hi Rene,... this looks as if it might do the trick for me. I always tilt my car seat to be as vertical as possible, but even then I barely touch the headrest (on painful days) and it isn't comfortable for very long. Thanks for the tip!

So you live in T.O.? I live in Markham. A group of us KAer's just got together on the weekend for brunch. I think we are going to try for another gathering in February sometime,... so if you're interested, then keep an eye out for the next one in the Party Plans Forum - the more the merrier!

Take care,
