Dear Lori

I am so very sorry to hear that Eric is hurting again! As a mother I can really feel how heartbreaking this must be for you...

Keep that fighting spirit sweetie and you will beat the beast!

Man, that sucks. Lori, I hope it's only temporary. Eric got through this once and will do it again. I can feel it in my bones . Seriously, our thoughts go out to both of you. I will e-mail you later before I leave.

Hi Sassy,

Tell Eric we are all pulling for him. And for you too. What a cruel thing to have happen but it may pass as fast as it came, who knows?

Wishing you both well,

Pete

Hi Lori,

This is the last thing I imagined I would read in here today. And the very last thing I wanted to read. My heart goes out to you and Eric.

I guess we all secretly hoped this drug was the ticket and eventually could mean a lasting solution for us all, but more than anything,... at least for the younger ones who are still growing.

Luckily, this promising option may easily have the power to take him straight back into remission again. Thank goodness it's available to him. I understand your love/hate relationship with Prednisone,... such a relief when you can see rapid positive results and not have to endure watching him struggle, yet surely making you a bit nervous at the same time.

After meeting you Lori - I know that Eric will have a bright future despite this set-back, simply by his good fortune of having a Mom like you.

My prayers are with you both.

Lori,
I am sorry to hear that Eric's pain is back. Yes, I will keep him and you in my prayers. I am not sure what Eric is to learn from all this, but I do hope he decides to face the pain with determination! I hope he never, never, never gives up and being pain free!

Hi Lori! Here are some more ((((HUGS)))) for you, and Eric too!!

I read here often, but I don't have much time to reply usually. I actually gasped when I read your thread subject.. and I just wanted you to know that I am thinking positively for Eric, and I don't doubt for a minute that he will experience another remission soon.. because I know that you wouldn't have it any other way, and won't rest til it's done!!

OMG Lori, I'm so sorry to hear of this. Pred is great for short term use, it's usually long term use that causes problems, but I can understand how this might be different given Eric's age.

What is the score with the Enbrel - can you restart it or are they hoping the pred will kick it into touch and/or waiting for the MRI?

Hope it's not long before he's heading back into remission - sending you both love and hugs in the meantime (think mommy might need some too)

(((((hugs)))))

Take care,

Jan
