I was kicking a ball around on my own in my parents back yard - I was 12. Through the window I saw a picture of Elvis on the TV, I ran inside, (I was so into rock and roll back then - had just discovered music really) the news was not what I was hoping for......

This is for Debbie, who for reasons best know to herself decided to rename me Lozziebear....

I justa wanna be, your Lozzie bear,
Put a chain around my neck, and lead me anywhere,
I justa wanna be, (just wanna be) yooour Lozzie bear

I remember the moment in time I heard Elvis died. I just happened to be in the corner drug store buying a bottle of Nsaids.

I was working in a job I hated in a resturant waitressing. Was trying to think of a reason to quit.......Elvis (whom I adore to this day) died, so I quit my job. Seemed like a good excuse at the time.....

I heard the news and the following morning every paper, including the Telegraph (compare it to the NY Times) had it as front page news. I had a paper route and people were waiting at their front doors for me to get there (and this was at 5:30 am).
