For the last couple of days I have been waking up with heaviness in the chest. I have pain when trying to put my chin to my chest. I have had constro in my ribs but this feels like my sternum,anybody else have this,do I need to go to a doctor? I am on naproxen three times a day already,is there anything different they can give

Hello Sonia,
That you need to talk to your doctors about... if it is inflammation from AS causing the pain there are other medications (TNF, alzulfadine etc..), alternatives and diet... it is just a matter of getting the inflammation under control which sometimes is easier said than done.
I have had the tightest in chest at times with AS and seen many post. I assume you are posting it here as you believe it is from the AS as well and not other type of chest pain related to the heart that would obviously need to be checked right away.
