Last night my wife too me to her pilates class. When it was finished I said I would rather run a 10K than do that. It was some good stretching. This morning I ran 4.43 miles in 43:23 minutes. Their was only one other male in the class, and I think that the females enjoyed making us look bad. Our balance was not as good, and we could not stretch near as far. At one point my wife said "It's not so easy is it?" I replied you should try it with MS & AS.

steve,

that's why i preferred yoga over pilates; yoga was part "exercise", part "meditation". The mind set was "its all good", "its not a competition", "its about you and your body". I never felt pressured when i couldn't do something in yoga, the way i did in pilates, but then again, it could have just been the teachers. i know how much hat swears by pilates. now i do yoga at home, because even though it wasn't a competition, i still found myself pushing myself in class, in a way i don't at home. and the poses / stretches are very much like my PT exercises as well.
