My father has Parkinson disease for 4 years.
(He has diabetes too)
Recently, the situation deteriorates so quick and the medication
does not work as good as before.
Yesterday he can't even move at all which never happened before.
I am wondering if Parkinson runs in your family and do you know
any alternative treatment.

hi Charlie,

My grandma has parkinsons.

This is a good alternative treatment for parkinsons based on nutrition:

http://www.doctoryourself.com/parkinson.html

I wish you and your father the best of health.

Thank you very much for your suggestion.
Vitamin C and lecithin supplements are easy
to find and try.
I will ask my father to try it.
Thanks again.

My grandmother had parkinson but I really don't know what if any meds she was on. I know she was diagnosed in her late 30's and lived to the ripe old age of 93.

My dad has Parkinsons he uses a ketogenic diet from this site www.healingnaturallybybee.com

Ketosis raises GABA and improves levels of glutathione

New studies are shwoing that folk with Parkinsons are lacking in both GABA and glutathione

If your dad cannot do ketosis a herb that raises GABA is Valerien and to improve glutathione level folk sometimes use coffee enema

Last but not least, but this is expensive. A new medical food called AXONA, Look on Youtube AXONA Alzheimers,

This new medical food raises ketones in the brain and has some success for folk with Parkinsons. But it is expensive

My dad has opted for the diet, it is cheaper and does work. I too am on the diet and do exceptionally well on it

Hope this is helpful

My dad had Parkinson's. His was DIP, so not sure if it counts as organic disease. His most effective treatment was low dose ritalin.

I can see Ritalin being a good med, but I have never heard of it being prescribed for parkinsons. I will look into this. Do you know of any side effects? Is it OK for blood pressure?

Kindest regards

Joanne
