If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

This may be the least of an issue for many of us, but still: have you noticed how your skin reacts to NSD/LSD? I am on NSD since three years and, unlike my AS, my skin does not seem to like it: seems like there are tiny blackheads in every single pore and occasionally I get what looks like allergic rashes. And I am well over the teens by now. In contrast, before going on NSD I tried vegetarian diet for a few months and the skin was just perfect. I understand that there must be a link to digestion, but still could not figure out how to deal with the issue. Wonder if this may be an issue for others too.

i had a similar experience. vegetarian diet = skin good. lowish starch paleo style diet developed dishydrotic eczema on hands. back to normal on a 'balanced' diet that lies somewhere in the middle of the two extremes. this guy has an interesting post on it - http://donmatesz.blogspot.com/2011/06/farewell-to-paleo.html

Great link, jroc. Thanks. Amazing how much variation there is from one person to the next. My wife doesn't react well to a higher fat diet, while I seem to thrive on it. The consistent lesson that I keep coming back to is that all of us need to find our own way and tailor our diets to meet our individual needs. There don't seem to be any hard and fast rules, just general guidelines.
Leonila- I haven't experienced the skin problems you mentioned while on the NSD. I hope you find a solution soon.

It sounds like you are eating more of something to which you're allergic. I think that's what troubles a lot of people who struggle with LSD/NSD; for instance, you will see people recommending lots of eggs since they are starch-free and nutritious. However, for me that was a mistake -- my digestion felt terrible after about a week of more than one egg each day. Took a food sensitivity test and discovered that I react to egg whites (and various other things that were generally allowed on NSD). I've cut way down on all the problem foods and am doing much better now.

That is an interesting site jroc. I would venture to guess that the thick blood/blood inflammation and blood stagnation might have something to do with bacterial biofilms. My former doctor in Philly had learned from a Dr. Fry, director of Fry Labs, whose patients which were being treated with antibiotics (for various long standing or chronic infections) that had not effectively responded to the antibiotics made very significant progress after being on a low to no fat diet. Some even realized significant results after only 10 days. Similar to starches being food for klebsiella p., fat (among other things) promote development of these biofilms. My doctor encouraged me to do this McDougal Diet for a short while. I was on board with the theory and potential results, but I could not get over the thought of returning to so much pain and stiffness. A true catch-22. I can't argue with this individual's experience, but the only thing I can attest to is the constipation (number 4...really should be number 2, ha!). However, that isn't so bad for me considering not having a colon and having double or more (referencing former dietary habits) the number of bowel movements the "normal" person has.
I think Bob makes a good point regarding there is not a one size fits all solution. SJLC also reiterates this with the anecdote regarding the eggs and intolerance.
Kind Regards, Jay

Thanks to everyone for all the ideas! Will have to look at my food list closer to see if there is anything indeed that may cause the problem.
