If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Sorry to hear this, especially from someone so enthusiastic about dietary changes. I'd consider hitting the Omega 3's hard (especially fish oil). I don't know if you were taking in enough O3's while on the diet, but I think that is an absolute must.
Kind Regards, Jay

im hitting the fish big time, salmon, whiting, trout & im back on the fish oil. I stopped it earlier on my diet because i started tasting metal in my mouth from overdoing it. Also i was reading how important portion size is with bacon and eggs. I was having 2 eggs & 2 strips of bacon (in australia its cut fairly thick) - i should have only been having 1 of each. Eating just fish and veg, i dropped another 1 kg just over the weekend.

Apparently flaxseed can lower cholesterol. "Flaxseed Provides Comparable Cholesterol-Lowering Benefits to Statin Drugs In a study involving 40 patients with high cholesterol (greater than 240 mg/dL), daily consumption of 20 grams of ground flaxseed was compared to taking a statin drug. After 60 days, significant reductions were seen in total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, triglycerides and the ratio of total to HDL cholesterol-in both groups. Those receiving flaxseed did just as well as those given statin drugs! Body mass index, total cholesterol, HDL-cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol, triglycerides, and the ratio of total cholesterol/HDL-cholesterol were measured at the beginning of the study and after 60 days. In those eating flaxseed, significant reductions were seen in total cholesterol (-17.2%), LDL-cholesterol (-3.9%), triglycerides (-36.3%) and the ratio of total cholesterol/HDL-cholesterol (-33.5%) were observed in the diet+flax group, compared to baseline. Similar reductions were seen in those taking the statin. Benefits did not significantly differ between the two groups." http://www.whfoods.com/genpage.php?tname=foodspice&dbid=81

I dont think it's wise to ignore high cholesterol levels. It's only one component of heart disease but I would try to get it down particularily the tri's. I know someone mentioned a guy who wrote a book about "what the doctors dont tell you". THese types of books are an industry in themselves and I think they are a joke. The medical industry has it's own limitations no doubt but these alternative quacks prey on people with there own misinformation.

And if they do, the Aussies will ride on the coat tails of their southern cousins, and they will intead become our Brothers - of whom we are So Proud (helping to hide how embarrassed wee are about our own misreable Socceroos performances...) PS: That was NOT a handball on Harry K, IMO!!!
