If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

I just took my fifth shot of Enbrel this morning. I notice that the injection site is reacting this time (never had this before), it is hot, slightly raised and itches a little. Nothing big yet, but was wondering if this is common or whether it is likely to turn into more of an "allergic reaction." Again, last four shots I had no reaction. Thanks for your experiences!!!

You should run that past your doc, but it sounds like an injection reaction. I used to get that too - I just took an oral antihistamine when I did my shots.

I had the same experience, just take some Benydryl. That should do it.

I use to have the same sort of reaction. My rhuemy had me put benadry cream on it & ice it. But I would call your rhuemy to let him know whats going on. Hopefully your next injection you wont have any problems.

Thanks it is really a small reaction, but I was hoping that it didn't mean that I was going to develop a real systemic reaction to Enbrel, since I do think it is helping me. Are you still on it?

I'm no longer on enbrel because it was not helping me & I kept getting infections. I was on it for about 8mths. I always seemed to get the injection site reaction but it never got bigger than a 50 cent peice. My rhuemy was ok with that.

Hi there I take enbrel also and I have had some redness and swelling. I'd watch it carefully though. When I first started, like my third shot or so, my site swelled and turned red right away. Well in a few more days it was swollen and hard. There was a knot about 3 in wide and at least that deep and pussed @ injection site. Then @ that time I had all these itchy patches on my hands. Looked like eczema or something! NASTY! I had staph. It was pussing out my site in the shower and if I squeezed it out of the shower it was so gross! My itchy hands were so bad! I was on tons of meds then. I have not had it since. But I am 7 injections behind due to a cold, flu and sinus infection. Watch your sites carefull! It doesn't take long to go all crazy like and it is SOOO gross and it hurts and the itch... OH gosh-bad Good luck! Let me knowq what happens

Hi gobruins...I had that happen this past Monday...mine was the size of an egg but I think it was because I didn't let it sit at all prior to the injection so it was very cold and harder for my body to absorb but after about 20 minutes, it went away....I hope you don't have anymore trouble, I don't really think you and I had an allergic reaction, maybe we just experienced one of the mild side-effects...
