HI and Merry Christmas to y'all.

I'm just sick of the snow, feeling really cold and lots of pain esp when I'm outside walking to work from downtown Seattle and waiting for the bus.

Seattle sucks when it comes to snow. The city doesn't handle it well like the East Coast and the midwest does. They refuse to use salt on streets, the plows have rubber blades so it doesn't really do much, just plow off the snow and underneath is ICE! Lots of hills, and I'm sure you heard of the 2 buses barely hanging off above I-5 because of hilly roads.

It's Xmas eve and I still haven't bought anything!!!!

I am just sick of it and wanting to move to FL .. but waiting for the universe to pull me to do it.

Just venting and I'm off to attempt to go to work!

Have a merry christmas.

Snow in Wisconsin today...again. Already no where to go with it for the season. Side roads are treacherous at times.

Have A Merry Christmas!!!

Cher, I feel your pain. Toronto got dumped on again last night (another foot of snow) and we've now had more in the last few days than we usually get in one season. And today? It's gonna rain!!! YAY!! not.

We're driving up to my Mum's later this afternoon and all that rain is going to freeze as the sun gets lower. Then all the yahoos who haven't bothered to get snow tires (I mean, we living in Canada ... why would anyone want snow tires?) will be speeding on black ice. It's going to be a looooooong drive.

Anyway, you know what? Don't worry about Christmas shopping today. Be with your family and promise them a shopping spree once you can safely get about.

Regardless, have yourself a wonderful Christmas.

Warm hugs,

Kat

Hi!
Our youngest daughter has a 6 and 4 year old boy!
They live 20 minutes from the Seattle center; of course the boys love it and are drinking a lot of hot chocolate!

Hey Girl!

I have missed talking to you and I hope you are doing well.

Tori our youngest daughter was riding in the car with us today and she said MOM just once why cant we have a white Christmas, well living in Oklahoma you never know but this time last year we had the worst ICE storm we have ever had, people without electricity for a month or more it was horrible we were without for like 4 days and I thought that was terrible.

So when you get a chance tell me about the wanna move to Florida.

I hope you have a great Xmas.

Hugs,

Lisa

Boy I hear ya! I am in Everett, and we have to use chains to get out of our apt complex! I am from eastern Washington, so I am a little more use to snow. It scares me to death to drive over here..people have a tendency to drive crazy and unsafe in the snow.

Merry (white) Christmas

Merry Chirstmas all.. I wanted to add that in Chicagoland we are no stranger to snow and horrid wind chills but yeah I am done all ready!! Last year was crazy with snow all season. We not seen that type of snow in 20 years.. The way this year is starting out it seems like we might have the same type of winter. The good news in these parts the snow and ice removal efforts are great and everyone is crazy on the roads all year long... so nothing new to report there..LOL.. Please be careful I worry most about my balance walking thru parking lots and such. My ankles are not workikng well for me latley..

Peace,

hi cheryl,

hope you had a good christmas in spite of how you were feeling on christmas eve. having to walk and bus to work in bad weather certainly is no fun, but at least you don't have to drive in it, that is what stresses me completely, and for us, i think january is the worst / most dangerous month. i always feel if i can just make it through january, i can make it to another year. though we get our share of snow in february, i think january is just worst because its the beginning of a long season and so i have the psychological part as well.

when i was in my 20s i lived up here, then spent 10 years in maryland and virginia where the winters are much more mild. now that i'm back up here, i've discovered silk long johns, polartec, earmuffs and scarves, thermaloft, thinsulate, muckboots, turtlenecks........i may look downright silly some days (think youngest boy in "a christmas story") but i'm warm!
