Hi All,

As many of you know I have had a ton of things going on...

Well one of them is Bill has been looking for another job for the past few months...well we think we finally found one that he is ready to accept.

He will still be a Sales Director but his territory will be mainly in oklahoma which means he will be home EVERY NIGHT...YEA!!!!

He will also be making more money which who can argue with that??? PLUS he will make more with new accounts or sales on top of his base salary.

On top of that is a BIGGIE, we will still have BCBS Insurance but we will only pay about $150.00 out of our pocket instead of the $550.00 we are currently paying PLUS the deductible will be either $300.00 or $500.00 instead of the $5000.00 deductible we have now plus we will have the same good drug plan I think it is $15.00, $25.00 or $35.00 per script which right now we have a $300.00 deductible per year per person, not there wont be one.

He wont get the 6 weeks vacation he gets now but he will be home every night and then will have the usual 2 weeks per year then 3 weeks after 5 years.

So at least the way it looks right now we can not think of anything negative that this job has but of course we are apprehensive always is when you are going to go from 1 job to another.

So alot will be happening and happening quick over the next 3 weeks.

Bill will work at his regular job for another week and then give them his 2 week notice. Now 99% of all employers will dismiss you then and pay you but they want you out and done so you don't take or wreck their equipement or files or whatever so that will ensure that we will get paid thru the end of June.

We also decided we are going to take a vacation together as a family for at least a week or more..Im excited about that! Not sure where we are going yet.

I just hope all goes as planned and that somehow God has guided us to this. We are also hoping that within 2 or 3 years that we will get to move to our dream home with some land out in the country.

I always like telling my family here...the good and the bad..lol just this time it is some good news this time.

Keep us in your thoughts and prayers over the next few weeks as we will be going thru alot.

Hugs,

Lisa

Lisa,

That is freaking great! I'm so happy for you guys. I bet it will be awesome having Bill home every night. I know you can't wait for that.
Sounds like you'll be making extra money, just by not paying a boatload in the insurance.
Keep me updated on how things go!

Sarah, thank you yes we are excited just a little scared..lol

You are right that is one of the reasons that I am excited the most is the insurance, you all know the hardships and hassles we have had because of that dumb $5000.00 deductible.

And yes, Bill and I are getting ready to celebrate our 17th anniversary on August 2nd and at least THIS time he has been working with this company for almost 3 years so we think it is time for him to be home for awhile.

Thanks as ALWAYS for your friendship and support! You are much loved!

Hugs,

Lisa

Hi Lisa

I am so absolutely delighted for you guys that is fantastic news, isn't great when all of the pieces of life's puzzles start coming together at last. I hope everything goes smoothly, or course Bill will be stressed changing jobs and all that entails. With Neil it was like a kids first day at school he was awful, he was nearly like "the other kids won't play at playtime" in the first week, I was glad to get him out the door in the morning, now he loves it and wouldn't swap it, although don't tell him I said that .

What a difference this is going to make and I can't wait to here about the holidays, we're going to be taking Harris on his first real Holidays this year, we're going to get him to the beach, and get him his bucket and spade, he desperate to make sandcastles.

Big Hugs to you all Laura

Lisa, your husband taking that job sounds like a great move for your whole family-better insurance, home every night, better salary...awesome! I'll hope it all works out for you guys so you can buy that dream home some day.

Everyone is a little scared of change I think. I know if I ever switched jobs again I would be terrified. I've been at my current place for 5 1/2 years...that's longer than all my other places combined....Well, I only had two other jobs, two years each, but still! I don't know what I'd do. And hopefully I won't have to think about that anytime soon!

Ok, getting ready to drop Ben off my parents so Tim and I can go shopping for his bday next week. I can't believe it's next week! AHH!!!!!!!!!!!

Keep us posted on everything!

Yeah Lisa. Tell Bill Congratulations! I am thrilled for you and hope this means we will get to see you more often. It sounds like such an answer to prayer. I know all of you are happy.

More Blessings.

Wow Lisa, that sounds great! To have your hubby home every night is wonderful. I know you've had some pretty rough times when he has been out of town.
And just the insurance thing makes for a big raise even aside from the increase in pay. That's a very good thing condsidering what is going on with our economy. Hope the transition goes smoothly for everyone. Take care, hugs, Wanda

Hi Laura,

Thanks for the support!

I know we are excited and scared at the same time.

His current employer is going to have a fit but they have pulled some things, one of the biggies was promising him a $17,000 raise then backed down and was like well we can only give you like $7000.00 and 7 would have been ok, except when you hear it, and hear it and then dont get it it makes you feel like you arent worth it.

They have pulled a couple of other things like a HUGE account like The Quick Trip Stores they are real tight with the owners Bill got in there and sold alot of stuff to be put in all the 500 stores would have been a HUGE commision like $10,000 dollars and they were like oh...well they are like a family account so it doesn't count, that is when I started saying oh no, no, no.

I think he will be much happier here not as much drama, there is a boss who loves to hear himself talk...ptttt

I love the beach, when you go make sure you take tons of pictures.

Hugs,

Lisa
