If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hi all,
I have had a nerve twitching in my eye for the last week. It's not all the time but often. It happens to be the same eye that my Uveitis and worse case of dry eye also hit. I'm wondering if this might have anything to do with it or just a coincidence? Thanks, Wanda

I get nerve twitches occasionally, but I don't think they're associated with anything in particular. They usually don't last long though. You say that it has been happening for about a week, but isn't constant. How often does it happen, and how long does it last? My guess is that it doesn't have anything to do with the Uveitis, but I don't really know for sure. I just Googled it, and it seems that it could be associated with the dry eye. Check out this website, and maybe do your own Google search. eye care source You might want to mention it to your eye Dr.

wanda, aloha i've had the feeling of a cork-screw turning within my right eye for years; optho believes the floaters, the focus problems and the corkscrew's turning are all caused by iritis...many of us have a 'sub clinical' smouldering iritis- inflammatory cells in the eyes but not enough of them to treat aggressively. best aB

Hi Janet, Thanks for looking that up. It occurs several times through out the day. It will twitch off and on for an hour or so. I've had other episodes of it before, but this is a bit more irritating. I may give it a few more days and call my optho. Thanks again, Wanda

Aloha Ben, That corkscrew desciption is perfect. I definitely get that pain. My optho says I have recurring Uveitis and a couple of times it wasn't full blown but at a smoldering stage. Quite often, it feels like it's on the verge of an outbreak, and I get the corkscrew pain. Thanks, Wanda

Hi Lindag, I pretty much stay away from caffeine, so I don't think it's the culprit. Thanks though, I appreciate your input. Wanda

Hi Wanda, I've had eye twitches for years. It comes and goes...but I have never had iritis though, so I don't know if it's a coincidence or not. Just wanted to let you know that I've had them...and they can be very annoying!! All the best, Trina

Hi Trina, Thanks - I think I will get off this computer for the night. That might help. It's hurting a bit too. Night all, Wanda

Hi, well it could be lots of things but this is what I do, from the pharmacy get some of the lubricating drops for dry eyes try that first, and wear sunnies or glasses try and get your eyes and face to relax. Watch out for anything in the eye getting sore reddening and watch out for sleepy dust in the mornings. Auto immune disease is known to cause dry eyes and that twitching is often a sign that they are about to change.....since I've been using the eye drops and sunnies etc things have improved alot eye wise no internal or cornea inflammation for 18 months or so. I used to buy the saline wash years ago and wash my eyes out daily for a week to get on top of it a long time ago, I thought it was due to pollution and pollen in London. dave
