Why is sausage considered a food to avoid?

Also, are hot dogs advisable?

How about salami?

Pork roll?

Thanks.

Those products tend to have modified starch fillers.... I know I react to breakfast sausage in most cases. Found one safe turkey sausage brand at Trader Joes when I lived out west.

I eat a lot of sausage, but I carefully make sure its unadulterated. It's out there.

Kosher hot dogs can be good, I get fresh breakfast pork sausage from the butcher area of the supermarket.

I'm lucky enough to have an outstanding, genuine german sausage maker in Seattle:

As I've found with ice cream, I'm stuck with buying only the best.

Sausages commonly have thickeners and fillers using wheat and/or maltodextrose etc. etc. salami has same as well as heavy preservatives and pork has pork fat which is a very marginal food for us and can cause grief in quantity - probably same level as for almonds - a little is fine, indulge at your peril.
Which makes me think it may be the fat in almonds that is bad in quantity.
Who knows!
