If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

As most of you know, this is a topic very near and dear to me. Cancer research and help for those fighting cancer. I am participating in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life again this year on June 2nd & 3rd, and am shamelessly asking if anyone would care to donate. Money raised will be used for research and in helping cancer patients obtain much needed services, that they may not have been able to afford on their own. Again this year, we will be making luminary with people's names who are either fighting, or have fought cancer. At about 10pm that night (June 2nd) they turn off all the lights around the field and light every luminary (several thousand) and then read off each name. It lasts usually a couple of hours, and is a very moving ceremony honoring those people. I will be making luminary for Linda (marabella) and John (lakecounty) again this year. As well as one for little Devon. I also like to decorate the luminary. Of course I have to draw a coffee cup on John's. (I really miss seeing the cup.) If anyone would like me to make a luminary to honor someone you know who has experienced cancer. PM me their full name. As well as a phonetic spelling so that the name will be pronounced correctly when read. I would be very honored to make one for them. And if anyone would like to donate to this cause. Any amount is appreciated. The website is: Relay For Life Donations/ Pamela Wellington/ mamadolphin Or if you need to copy and paste the link to your browser : http://www.acsevents.org/relay/wa/spokane/mamadolphinThankyou so much for taking the time to read this. I appreciate it. Lots of love, Pam

Dear Pam, You are a warm magnificent individual in my eyes, and your generosity of spirit is deeply moving. It humbles me to have the privilege of just knowing you a little... our strong and sweet KickAS sistah. May your involvement in this worthy endeavour be rewarded tenfold as it succeeds to inspire, support and touch so many. Thank you for providing us all this chance to give as well. With love, mig

Dear Pam:
Thank you very much for including Devon in your luminary plans. As you well know, Loz and I will be looking into similar events in the UK to take part in.
Dear All:
As some of you may already know, my little cousin Devon had been battling a brain tumour for the last year or so. Sadly on March 18th Devon succumbed to complications of the radiation therapy at the devestating age of five. I was able to make it home to attend his bedside vigil the day before he died and Loz joined me a few days later for the memorial.
Cancer is indiscriminate, and touches the lives of so many people. Please do whatever you're able to help fight this horrendous disease. If your resources are tight, consider the gift of time. Do it for our survivors like George and Pam, and our angels - Linda, John, Herbert (Loz's dad) and precious little Devon. Love, Jeanna

Hi Pam,
Kudos to you for being so actively involved in this--it is a terrific series of charity events that seems to get better and raise more money each year. The company I work for as made Relay for Life its primary charitable fundraising activity each year. In fact, as far as I know, it is the only charity that the company supports on the corporate level, and each year the company gets more and more involved in sponsoring on-site events and in sending teams of Thomson workers to Relay events around the metro Detroit area. And, the employees here really love supporting ACS and Relay for Life--our company routinely takes first place among Detroit companies of our size when they roll up the total contributions after each event and at the end of all events. No one here cares about finishing first except for the fact that it means that ACS got lots and lots of money from us. Already this year we've had a bake sale, a flower sale, and a silent auction that I know of, next week we have an event at a local comedy club, with 100 percent of proceeds going to the ACS, and I'm sure we'll have our annual car wash and participate in the 24-hour Relay for Life that they hold. Last year, I tried to get them to agree to let me hold a charity Texas hold 'em poker tournament here after work one night, but even though all the money would go to charity (I had friends who were going to donate the prizes), one high-level muckity much decided that he knew best that that we couldn't risk having any kind of gambling on-site. Other officers were all for it, but this guy had enough juice to put an end to it. I might try again this year, but I have so much going on personally this year that I don't think I can pull it off. Some day though.
I would love to donate to you to Pam, and I might be able to, but I've already made several donations through work here and plan on donating more as the year goes on, so that might tie up all my charity dollars for a while--you can rest easy knowing that my contributions are going to the same place yours are, however!
Hope you have tremendous success in your efforts, and I will do my best to send a contribution your way too.
Brad

Jeanna,
I am so sorry to hear about your cousin. You are so terribly right that cancer is indiscriminate, but it just tears me to pieces when it strikes children like this. I'm sure Devon's family appreciated the love and support you brought back to Canada with you, as did little Devon himself. My thoughts and prayers and with you, Lon, and your family.

Dearest Jeanna,
Thank you so much. I will also be making luminary for George and for Gary's (wdcrvr) wife Renee. I would also be honored to make one for Loz's dad Herbert. I'll just need his last name.
Thank you again for all your support and love throughout my journey with cancer. You helped me through so many tough times.
Lots of love, Pam

Brad,
Thank you so much. No need to donate to my team as well. Like you said, it all goes to the same wonderful cause. I think it is just awsome what you and your company do to support the Relay for Life. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Our team is Bosom Buddies. It is women from the breast cancer support group I belong to. Our biggest fundraiser this year is our first annual Pink Ribbon Tea in May. We are hoping to raise more money this year than last year. Several ladies in our group have also made items to sell at Relay. I'm proud to say our booth was the busiest one there last year. My boys have even gotten involved with this. Noah is making hemp bracelets with pink and purple ribbon beads on them to sell. And this year our team is putting on a carnival for kids who are attending relay. Isaiah is so excited to be able to help out with that as well.
Thank you again for all you have done, and do for Relay and the ACS. It is very much appreciated.
Take care, Pam

I wanted to say Thank You to those who have donated so far. Your support means so very much to me. And to the American Cancer Society.
And if anyone would like me to include a name of a loved one on a luminary, you can either PM me their name (as well as phonetic spelling so when read it will be pronounced correctly) or feel free to post it here.
Thank you again to those who have donated.
Lots of love to you, Pam

Hey Pam
I am gonna talk to dad this morning if the time seems right...he lost his girlfriend to breast cancer just over a year ago...He may want to add to what I have done.
This is a wonderful thing you are doing.
