If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

My initial episode of uveitis was severe enough to cause a cataract in my left eye. The blur in that eye cannot be corrected with glasses of course. My left eye cant read any normal sized print, and cant make out any road signs...but I do fine with the right eye. Clearly my depth perception is not what it was before the uveitis....A bit inconvenient...full sunlight always causes me to close the left eye, as the blurring and bright light is like a spotlight in the face. Nothing too life altering, but I would like my vision back as it was.
My question is this....Eye doc says a lens replacement will get rid of the cloudiness....I am wondering if anyone has experienced Uveitis with an artificial lens?? could the surgery bring on an attack?? could the artificial item in my body bring on more immune activity in the area??
Has anybody on here who has uveitis, also had a lens replacement??

Yes, I had cataract surgery several years ago; not only having chronic Uveitis/Iritis but also Blepharospasms. The surgery did not bring on a flare. They put you on some pred drops along with the antibiotics. It was the best thing I have ever done. The surgery is no big deal and the next day I could see 20/20. It did drop down to 20/15 but what a blessing. Go for it. You will be so glad you did. Blessings. Possi

Thanks for the response....Did it have any affect on the Blepharospasms? I have one eye that has had uveitis and it seems to get irritated like a hay fever feeling every so often. Did you have anything similar, and if so, did the surgery alter it?
