Did anyone see the article in April's UK edition of Marie Claire ? Page 323. Health section: " The Diet that Saved my Life" The lady was diagnosed w/ A.S.

After changing her diet, "the seed oil was the thing that hit the spot that my diet hadn't quite reached - it was definately the missing link in the chain"

She went on to start her own brand of mixed oils. Inspirational Story #???. (zark, you should do something like this, being the AS Yoda! )

Any press is good press right ?

It sounds really interesting. I've been trying to find the UK website, but have had no luck at all. Is there a marie claire UK website where the article might be posted? I'd like to read it.

Hugs,

It looks like only if you have an AOL account. The key word is Marie Claire, but I don't have an account so don't know what or what isn't on it. The article is about 4 women so her deal isn't that big so I can try typing it up and I'll post it here. Has to wait until Monday tho, got guests.

Gotta go, someones coming and I'm supposed to be cleaning !

Hey Kat

I went to google and typed in Marie Claire and got lots of hits.

I went to the magazine to the health section, but did not see that diet specifically, but I did not see if it was the current months issue either.

Try googling it. You may have better luck than I did.

Hugs
Lori

Hey guys,

the website is
http://www.groovyfood.co.uk/

the oil itself is called Cool oil 3 star oil, this is what the website has got to say about it:

"Research has shown that by increasing our intake of essential fatty acids (EFAs - the good fats), in the right ratio, our bodies can experience a wide variety of health benefits. Even better, unlike saturated fats, EFAs are used up by the body rapidly, so they don't end up as fat stored round your bum, belly or other bits!

Our bodies crave essential fatty acids but because we can't produce them, we have to get them by eating the right things. Unfortunately, with our busy lifestyles it's not always easy to get enough of them in our daily diets and in the right balance.

Well, now you can, as Cool Oil does all the hard work for you! Made up of a blend of flax, hemp and pumpkin seed oils, and oil of evening primrose, it is custom-blended to provide the answer to all your EFA needs!

More and more research is leading towards the belief that a balance of Omega 3, 6 and 9 contains properties that may help maintain brain function, a healthy heart, bendy joints, great skin and wonderful energy levels."

I'm going to give it a go as omega oil is good for you anyway, but I was put off by the fact that most of the ones on the market are made from fish oil. If you're in the UK you can apparently buy it from Sainsbury's , Boots, Selfridges, and Fresh and wild. But you can also order it off the website.

I got lots of hits when I googled it too, but like you, couldn't find the article. Then I googled marie claire uk and could only get to a subscription page. Over and over again. argh.

Ah well, at least Louisa's posted the info on the oil they talk about. I'm reading one of the Zone Diet books right now, the latest in the collection. He's convinced that pharmaceutical grade fish oil to get high quality Omega 3s is extremely important to the overall health of humans. Of course, you're supposed to match it with his Zone Diet, which actually seems to be quite common sense in approach.

Louisa, thanks for posting the link and info.
