If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

E-Lim-In-Nate the negative,
These old songs date us, don't you think? I still remember the tune.

Hi George,
Yes they do date us, but I suppose we have to ... latch on to the affirmative & don't mess with Mr.In-between.
Good to see you posting! Cat

Oh bother!, you beat me to it.
I'm trying to remember the second verse but "it is completely gone"
I can't even remember who it was that made that song a short term hit.

How far back was that Loz?
Somewhere, I have a record of Eddie Cantor singing Making Whoopi. I think that he was the first or one of the first to sing that song on radio and then on record.
I liked that group of guys that Cantor hung out with like Jolson and Jessel (and still do). It was hard to tell those two apart at times.
I didn't have any idea as to what "making Whoopi" meant when I first listened to these guys. Hey, I was only 8 years old then.

Hi George,
Does this sound familiar ? The lyrics were written by Johnny Mercer. The song was a hit in '45 & nominated for an academy award in that year. I know ... a useless bit of trivia, Cat
You've got to spread joy up to the maximum Bring gloom down to the minimum Have faith or pandemonium's Liable to walk upon the scene
To illustrate my last remark Jonah in the whale, Noah in the ark What did they do just when everything looked so dark? Man, they said, We'd better accentuate the positive ...

Yup, that's it.
Good memory Cat! Useless? Not at all. Trivia is fun. I'm at that age where I am sure to be on someone's trivia list.

Oh not too long ago George. Dr John has been around since the 1950's as a New Orleans studio musician but his first hit wasn't until 1972 with Iko Iko. The album I'm refering to was from early 90's.
