Hi Beverley,

Welcome to the KA website. Just wanted to say that it's wonderful you are continuing with your classes. Even if our bodies aren't what they once were, at least we can continue to work on our brains.

Kudos to you !

Hi Beverley,

True, sometimes helments are necessary.

Might be time to ask your GP... Now with this dx of Degenerative Spondy, would you please refer me to a Rheumatologist?

"hmmm, interesting" just doesn't cut it as a suitable answer in my books. Since rashs come and go (and often don't correlate to doc appts), I've heard it suggested that taking a photo of the rash (and stages) can prove useful as a handy visual to show to various docs.

Hugs,

I'll look into a Rheumatologist, have a list for our insurance plan, now need to do it. But first, I have an algebra test tomorrow and a Communications mid-term. So must study. Thank you all for all the help, am also drinking Gatorade for the muscle spasms and crampings.

Thank you everyone for all the help.

Welcome Beverly and it didn't sound like rambling to me. It sounded like someone who has been and is going through a really hard time. I am glad you found the forum. It has been such a blessing for me. Come back often and let us know how you are doing.

Hi again Beverly!

I live in Ventura County which is just south of Santa Barbara and about an hour north of Los Angeles.

I have a sister who lives in Eugene, Oregon. I want to go visit her. I haven't been up there in a while but I love it! Except for all the rain. It does make everything beautiful and green but if I lived there I'd HAVE to be on an anti-depressant from the lack of sunlight!

So are you getting pummeled with rain as I am? It is Tuesday evening and it has been raining on and off all day. The big stuff is supposed to hit tonight.

Batten down the hatches!

Have a great day tomorrow!!]

Eugene does get a lot of rain. We're from farther east in Oregon where it's dry but I love the rain. We got soaked yesteday and more is due today. I watched the mud run off the neighbors roof during the first rain, Sunday(?) and there are broken limbs and trees down all over town.

My daughter lives in Vancouver, WA and we want to go for Thanksgiving. I guess it depends on how much snow we'll have to drive through.

I called my GP yesterday about a referral to a Rhuematologist, I didn't get a call back. I think the GP is getting SpA confused with Osteoarthritis. I think most people get it confused. My doctor doesn't understand that I will fire her. Most doctors are surprised when it happens. They forget that they work for us. In the meantime, the Indomethacin is working well for me and I have more mid-terms to get through this week.

Hey Beverly,

Was reading through you post again and found you live in the modesto, merced area. The Rheumatologist that made my diagnosis back in 1986 after years of being told my pain was in my head is in Salinas, Ca if you can handle a few hours drive.

Brent, thank you!

I looked on our insurance provider's site and he's listed. I would have to go to Modesto, or to Fresno, so Salinas might be an additional few miles, BUT it's near Moss Landing, so major benefit. ha!

I'm not having much luck getting a call back from my dr about a referral. This isn't horribly urgent, I must have had this for many years. I'm going to wait until this school term is over before I do too much more. *maybe*

You relocated a long distance, I'm impressed. We moved here from only 9 hours away and what a JOB!

Beverley
