I have a few floaters but they usually dont cause much concern. My main problem is irritation whhich flax seed oil seems to help.

Hello All!

Isn't it interesting that so many people have them?? I get them quite a lot, and when I read the post I figured there would be a couple of people. Maybe it has something to do with the drugs we take or something similar. Can't be that we are growing old at the same rate. Something to ponder.

Some floaters are set into motion at the time of birth. The eye has small blood vessels that seal them selfs off in the back of the eye. As we get older they tend to dry up and break off floating around in the eye. Other than inconvient they cause no major eye problem. I hope this is the type of floater that you have. Best to see a optomitrist or optomoligist to make sure.

Hi Donnah, I hope you followed Mig's advice last night. I usually go to opthamology at St. Mike's Hospital here on the rare occasions when I suspect iritis, where there is generally a three month waiting list. They told me (the opthies, I mean) to go to emerg. if I suspect iritis so that I can get in immediately.

Just another person's 2 cents.

Hugs,

Kat
