Johnti, I agree with Lisa. Your counsellor has asked a sound question. We all go through a grieving process when we're diagnosed with a life changing disease, just as we do at the news of a death. It needs to happen so that we can let go of what was and move on to what can and will be. As long as we hold onto the pain of being diagnosed, we can't move forward at all. We're just stuck, wishing for something that can't happen. You will find that there is much hope to be found in questions such as the one your counsellor asked you, because if finding the answer, you can also find the hope to continue and grow and win out over your disease. This question was a hard one. I stress about money and about work. But lately my biggest stress is happening in my family. I have a teenage son that is so off track right now. So that's where my biggest stress lies.
