If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

I have been on Enbrel for over a year now with great results. I hate to complain considering how much better I feel...but..I seem to have developed allergies. I've never been alergic to anything, but these last few months, I have been having the typical allergy symptoms..watery eyes, sneezing, stuffed up...etc...
I was wondering if any other Enbrel users have experienced the same thing??

I have been on enbrel for only a month and a half, but I had allergies before starting. They are not any worse now. Infact they are better, but that is because it is winter.

Did you change the type of heating in your house ? I'm not on Enbrel but I do find that our forced air heating is very drying and makes my eyes and throat sore etc.... Maggie

Hi Douce, Seems that I have acquired the same. I am sneezing up a storm. Just got a small cold with congestion on my chest and head. I never had this problem before Enbrel. But I guess I will take this instead of the flareups and constant pain like I had before. thanks for sharing.

I've just been on Enbrel for three months now. I have never been allergic and I don't show any symptoms except an occasional sneeze attack. Sometimes I'll sneeze 10-20 times in a row. They come from nowhere. These aren't your normal sneezes either. They seem to start way down inside and are real hard, fast and loud. Afterwards I've got the watery eyes and have to apologize to my dog (he thinks it was his fault). If I'm driving I try and pull over (still have to apologize to my dog). Weird huh?
I never really thought about the sneezes and an Enbrel connection, maybe you have something here. It will be interesting to see what others have experienced.

Fred!!!
Those sneezes...the powerful ones....I get them...5-10 in a row! Started about 6 months ago. Very interesting!!!
I wonder if there's some connection.
Thanks for your replies everyone!

I've been on Enbrel two years. Have not noticed anything with allergies....in fact, I'm rarely sick.

I was on Enbrel for a year and a half.I came to the conclusion that I was so fused and mechanically damaged after 30 years of AS that it was not worth the cost.It did help with low back stiffness in the morning ,though.I did not experience any problems such as you mentioned . Kev

Hi Paul - I know this post is older, but I SO am finding the same effects as far as allergy response - yes, low back pain is helped with Enbrel -- so worth the trade off, but this allergy stuff is for the birds!
Glad you posted, helps to know others can relate, Jess

Hello, sorry to hear about these allergies, my name is Helena, 32 suffering from AS for the past ten years.
Enbrel has work for me, though still have flare-up moments. Anyway, I have been on Enbrel for a couple of years, with some interruptions due to insurance issues.
Enbrel burns when it is injected, I am on the weekly reg.
I do not suffer from anything you have expressed. Though, think back when you developed these allergies. Maybe timing with new detergent, new house, soap, body sprays, animals. I feel the same way, when on any medications and feel something etc., I think of the meds are the cause. When I looked into Enbrel, did not read or hear about what you are suffering. FYI
Ask pharmacist or doctor!
Hope you stay feeling good! Hope some help.
