If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

CONCLUSIONS: The present study confirms the existence of an inverse association between coffee consumption and liver cirrhosis.Coffee intake and mortality from liver cirrhosis. Norwegian Institute of Public Health, Oslo, Norway.http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov:80/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve&db=PubMed&list_uids=12875799&dopt=Abstract----------------------------- in other words: the more coffee you drank - the less the incidence of liver cirrhosis "So long and thanks for all the fish" - Hitch Hikers Guide To The Galaxy

Yes.... contrary to pop op re coffee enemas.... the coffee stimulates the liver to detox rather than do anything in the colon directly. But it's like wearing glasses all the time if you only need them for reading. But if you need them all the time...? There are other better ways (imho) to detox the liver..such as drinking Kombucha... which adds to the glucoronic acid (body's natural 'toxin carry-away' agent) already being produced by the liver. This would also give you more energy as well as the vits and enzymes.

zark, somewhere between 'liver' and 'bottoms up' there has to be a zinger, but I can't for the life of me find it! I'd be interested in finding out whether my naturopath has seen this research. She's so vehemently opposed to coffee it's ridiculous! Hugs, Kat

>> somewhere between 'liver' and 'bottoms up' there has to be a zinger ""bottoms up"" ... very appropriate if you choose to try the coffee enema I have to admit was pretty surprised that the research found a decrease in gut disease for people who drunk large amounts of coffee. .. Perhaps due to the antioxidants in coffee? Or maybe it has a detox effect in a similar way to charcoal? cheers, z "So long and thanks for all the fish" - Hitch Hikers Guide To The Galaxy

Maybe, but I also know that if I keep drinking the amounts of coffee I've been drinking lately, I'm going to have a hole in my stomach the size of the North Pole!! So, where it helps in one place, it hurts in another. I guess it's a trade off no matter how we choose to treat this thing. argh. Hugs, Kat

then do not use coffee!
I do not think I am drinking heavyly, my classmates drink much more than me, seem that they drink coffee every 2 hourse! while I only drink twice a day! I just bought a bottle of Noni, and took it twice, by now I have not sense any differences. Maybe I should not buy it, it cost me £32!

Hi,
interesting, I find coffee helps the IBD.....and sometimes the neck pain, I've put it down to smooth muscle relaxing etc.
funny because real coffe used to give me terrible migraines classic aura the whole bit.
If it's good for me....? I think moderation.

I experienced some flare these days, do not way, it happened in the middle of spine, not lower back, I guess AS still getting worse.
Only thing difference: first is the whether, being colder and I has been hurt; second is that I am starting to drink NONI.
Is there anyone drinking NONI, and how you guys feel?

I have used noni juice - probably should start a new thread on noni actually.
Noni juice is great stuff , and very useful for healing and moles / cancer as it really revs up the immune system. Although it does help with the pain , I find that it effects my health very positively in other ways. It isn't as effective as the coffe and ginger routine for stopping the pain, thats for sure. And if I ate wheat - noni won't stop me from getting sore, but just take the edge off it. Wheras coffee and ginger do seem to actually give about 4 hours relief regardless of what you eat.
Cheers, z

Hi, I thought coffee was a stimulant and irritant and it does precisely that to me. A few of my work colleagues have joked about having to run to the toilet after morning coffee ,because, it does speed up gut peristalsis big time. For me I have to treat coffee like alcohol ,with CAUTION.Tim
