If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hello gang, Got the results from my liver biopsy, all things look normal So no real answers to why liver enzymes still slightly elevated despite no meds. or alcohol. Took forever to get an answer... as I told a few of you with PM's when you asked, when I called the office, I always got an offsite answering service (live person). They would then take a message and fax it over to the doctors office. They did not call after the first 2 calls, finally after the 3rd call we played phone tag for a few days (me always getting the offsite location). Guess I just continue to get bloodwork done and hope slowly comes down. That is great news Tim. Though it still doesn't give you any answers to your elevated liver enzymes. Hopefully it will clear up on its own.

Hey Tim- been following your post, as I had elevated liver enzymes after taking Vioxx for six months...then I quit, and if I believe my docs, two months later the blood tests were normal...and I drank some beers before during and after that, so I feel it was Vioxx...
Will do a test again soon....
Peace, hang in there!! Linc

That's really good news!! I'm so happy (and relieved) for you!! That may just be 'the norm' for you, to have elevated LFT's. Just keep checking, like you said. Big sigh of relief, huh? Take care. Stacie

Hi Tim! Wow, that timeline to finding out the results was quite a wait,.... but to hear 'all things look normal' must give you some relief from worry. I can appreciate you'd like to know the cause. I would too. It's better to understand 'why', but that never seems to happen with these health matters eh? Always loose ends. I hope in time this will resolve itself completely for you. Take care! mig

Hi Tim! Glad to hear that things are fine and dandy! Don't you just hate waiting for results? So what is the next step now you know what it isn't? Maxine May the roof above us never fall in, and the many friends gathered below it never fall out.

HI Tim, I was lucky when I had my liver biopsy done. They did it while doing my stomach surgery, so I was already under and didn't feel a thing. I got my results at my follow up appt with the surgeon two weeks after the surgery and it wasn't great news. Glad to hear that yours was though. It takes awhile for the levels to come down. Took mine like 3 months. Hopefully not as long for yours. It was probably so long for mine, because it was so high to begin with. Good luck and keep up with the blood work faithfully. That's the only way to stay ahead of things and catch anything before it gets out of hand. Hugs, Lisa
