If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hi Everyone,
Thanks to Michelle's patience with my technical ignorance, I am able to post again!
Wanted to share my recent experiences. Two weeks ago I went into a flare with iritis rearing its ugly head in addition to fatigue, increased neck pain and ankle "stabs". I felt I had been faithful to NSD but did have some extra stress with a grant writing deadline. I continued NSD and initiated Celebrex 200mg 2x/day and Pred forte gtts in hopes of resolving my problems. I had no results after 4-5 days. Then I read Zark's Rutin praise and thought it only made sense to give it a try. I read in one of the url's he posted that 2-3 grams was considered an antiinflammatory dose so I started with 500mg 4x/day (Zark, I believe takes 300 mg 2x/day as a maintenance dose), stopped the Celebrex and Pred forte and continued the NSD. I am amazed at the results. Yes, it could be the expected resolution of the flare. However, since starting the NSD I felt I was nearly 100% physically. With Rutin, however, I'm at ~200%, jumping off the deck, working hours in the yard, and NOT AN ACHE.
I shall return, as I now know how to return...

Hi LindaG
Great to hear your results. Which brand of Rutin are you using?
Thanks Chris

Chris,
KAL is the manufacturer. Says on the label they've made dietary supplements since 1932. These are also wheat free. I got sixty 250 mg. tabs for $5.98. The local health food store did not stock them but were able to order them in within 2 days. Zark takes another brand that contains 300 mg rutin and 75 mg of Vitamin C per tablet but it is manufactured in Australia and I didn't want to wait any longer than necessary to initiate this bioflavanoid. I did also take 1/4 of a 500 mg Vitamin C tab with each Rutin tab. If you haven't already read Zark's input, do so. He feels it is more effective than NSAIDs and even prednisone and, so far a week later, I agree with him!

Is the Rutin helping everything or just the iritis and ankles? Since I've never have either of those pains I was wondering if it helped anywhere else.

Allan,
I was doing well on the NSD as long as I took it easy. I did need a Celebrex every week or two, usually for an achey red eye, thoracic, shoulder, TMJ or neck pain. This was a dramatic improvement over the past 6 months when if I was even late for my 2x/day Celebrex my iritis would start to flare along with the other aches and pains.
I do understand that at some point during the NSD there may be a final stage with the klebs dying where one suffers with a flare. I, however, attribute my flare two weeks ago to long hours in front of the pc and the stress of meeting what seemed like an impossible deadline. After taking the Rutin for 6 days I feel better than I have in years. I have NO pain anywhere, lots of energy, and ambition that may yet get me into trouble. I've always been the kind of person who completed a task even if it meant exhaustion and staying up until 3am. Obsessive you might say and not the most intelligent approach to life. I admit I've been pushing myself lately just to see if this rutin is as good as I think it may be!!
I'll keep you posted. So far I think it's a miracle vitamin!!

Sounds like it's worth looking into. My inflammation is pretty much gone, but still have pain in the back and neck. I think I've got some spotty fusing or something. 2 white asprin pretty much take care of it for 8 hours, but then it creeps back. Exercise helps with it and it didn't when I was inflamed so NSD is pretty effective. Just those last few naggings that want to hang on. Keep us posted on the rutin. Guess I need to go see if I can find it somewhere tomarrow.

Wow! This sounds like something I could use! Can you get this in Canada? Maxine May the roof above us never fall in, and the many friends gathered below it never fall out. - Irish Blessing

Hi Allan,
Quite a few alternatives to aspiran if you wish to try. Ginger is a natural herb I take that works wonders.... I mix in a dish once a day currently. Another is MSM I take periodically that I also notice helps.
Quite a few alternatives out there.

Maxine, I'd call my local health food store and see what you can come up with. It is also available on-line. If you do a rutin search in this forum, you will find Zark's many postings on this vitamin. He also provides a web site where you can order the same product he takes. Or, just type rutin into your search engine and you'll get lots of sites. I also ordered some 500 mg rutin capsules from the internet that were even less expensive than those I got from my local health food store. Unfortunately they have not yet arrived and, ever the skeptic, I wonder if they ever will! Good luck! LindaG

Hey Tim, Sadly, I can't handle ginger. I use to try to eat it on sushi and in stir frys, but the taste is terrible for me. Garlic on the other hand taste great for me. What is MSM? I'm open to trying about anything except ginger. Really, it taste terrible, ick! Does the ginsing tablets work the same? I could problably swallow it if I didn't have to taste it. Have you looked into the Rutin yet? I didn't do any pills today and I went and hit a bucket of golfballs. That was this morning and I'm no worse for the wear. I think I'm on a roll. I was really sore this morning when I got up. I put 2 aleves in my mouth and then spit'em back out. I took a really hot shower and by the time I got out I was feeling pretty darn good. Nice being able to work through the pain, wheather with exercise or a hot shower. It's alot easier when the inflammation isn't throwing up road blocks and retarding all my efforts. I'm still shooting for total remission and an LSD diet someday. If it's possible I figure I'll learn how here.
