This is such good news. I too have had many bouts of Iritis and know that problems with your eyes are very scary.

I hope for your continued improvement and please continue to follow drs. orders so the improvement continues.

Denise

Hi Els,

I think you meant Connie instead of Cheryl...at least I hope so, coz I'm gonna answer you! I'm doing great. I think I'm pretty much back to where I was before the iritis started. I am still tapering off of the prednisone and drops--still on 40 mg pred a day and 4 drops a day right now. I go back to the doctor on Tuesday morning and I'm sure he'll taper it down again. I also wanted to say how good it is to see you back here. I still remember that you were one of the first people to welcome me to KA when I found the site. I always enjoy your posts--hope you stick around.

Connie

Hi Denise,

Welcome to KickAS! You were posting to me at the same time I was answering Els' question. You're right that eye problems are very scary, particularly if you only have one good eye, as I do. I've had many problems in addition to the iritis--retinal detachment, cataracts, amblyopia, strabismus, etc, etc., so I am careful to have any problems checked and follow doctors' orders. Thanks for the response and, again, welcome to our family!

Connie

Sorry about the name mistake there Connie but I did indeed know who I was talking to! Hey I started with a C and that is something! Thanks so much for that note. It is much appreciated and so good to feel so warmly welcomed back. Take care!
