Hi Mary! I'm new posting on the board, but for my daughter who is LSD I'm planning:
Turkey
Mock potatoes (mashed cauliflower)
Fresh cranberry chutney (it's made from fresh cranberries, orange zest, apples, honey and nuts)
Asparagus oven roasted in sea salt and coconut oil
Deviled eggs
Creamy Broccoli salad w/bacon and raisins
And I'm going to try a recipe I saw in a Food Network magazine for a flourless walnut torte/cake for her dessert. Of course, I may change my mind and just do an apple crumble using almond and coconut flour for the topping, since she'll already be getting a fair amount of starch compared to our regular daily level. Oh, and I always have a fresh tossed salad ready to go with homemade honey mustard dressing. She shouldn't be able to walk after we eat.
How low does your husband have to be to avoid a flare? I would think if he can tolerate brussel sprouts that maybe a nice fresh slaw, with cabbage or broccoli would be a nice change if he can eat them?
