It got a bit hairy for awhile. The evacuation line got within 50 yards of my house with Left Hand Creek, which is normally about half a mile away.
I posted a great video my wife took on Facebook. Little Left Hand Creek is normally about four feet wide and a foot deep. Last Thursday it was about three quarter of a mile wide. We couldn't evacuate in any direction because the St.Vrain River, to my north, was much worse than Left Hand. Fortunately we live on a ridge between the two. It did get interesting in the Chinese curse sense of the word for a bit.
