i have started taking turmeric tincture from a herbal shop here, about 13mls of turmeric tincture a day like 5 mls in the morning and the rest at night about an hour before bed and its really really helped my pain. i used to get a really sore back at night, well i havent had a sore back at all for the past week, and thats about how long ive been taking the turmeric. i also take celery and nettle leaf tinctures, but i think the turmeric would help the most, so maybe you could try that. and like paula said, the oils before bed are really important too. i also take bromelain, but its quite expensive to buy, but im sure that helps too. but i always notice that if i eat too late in the day or eat too much later in the day, then my pain levels increase during the night (but i havent had any pain at all cos of the turmeric this last week).
anyway, im so sorry youre having trouble there. it's horrible isnt it? i can only remember all too well the times when i couldnt even go for a walk outside, let alone walk from one end of the house to the other without it taking me about 2 hours! i know its easy enough to say, but you just have to keep thinking that it wont last, and soon it'll be all over. just before this last stage of being pain-free for me, my pain was the worst it has been in about a year and i was ready to give up the no starch diet and go back to nsaids. im so glad i didnt! the nsd is a complete lifesaver. it just sometimes takes a while to fully kick-in.
keep your chin up cos you'll pull through, and the best of luck with your finals!
