If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Erica,
Is there a way to ignore the "hoopla" and just enjoy the parts of the holiday you enjoy?
Years ago various brothers' and sisters' families were going through financial straights and we decided to stop exchanging gifts with them; prior to that, we did a pollyanna where we took turns buying for one another; maybe not a pollyanna as much as a rotation schedule. But now we avoid the gift giving.
And now that the nieces and nephews are largely grown up, don't buy for them either.
But do buy for parents and for the little kiddies (grand nieces and nephews) but just something small and nice vs expensive.
And then, just bake what I want to bake. Just give away what I want to give away. Just watch my christmas videos, listen to my christmas music, do the level of decorating I want to do, just enjoy the holiday season.
For sure, I stay out of the stores, the malls too close to christmas. Yesterday was officially my last day for sure. And during the week; weeknight, so no crowds.
and for sure, I stay clear of the local radio station that insists on the very bad christmas music, vs the nice old classics, jazz, blues, interesting stuff, even before T-day.
I can't handle "Hoopla" so I don't.
People adjust when they realize that we have made up our minds about something and that is the way its gonna be. So long as we do it matter of factly and not in a negative emotional way.

Exactly. "I can't handle the Hoopla so I don't" Every year it takes me by surprise that people start talking obsessively about buying and decorating and buying and decorating.... And every year I promise myself I'll leave town next year. Overseas to a Santa Claus free zone. Peace to the TEAM!

Peace to the TEAM! for me its much more about cooking and eating but then again, that's not much different than any other time of the year I could see spending christmas up in the alps somewhere, trapped by the snow. or in a remote Japanese island village. or just holed up at home, watching videos of charlie brown and the grinch and baking pumpkin and cranberry/orange/nut breads.

Struggling to keep up with everything at the moment Sue would like to take a leaf out of your book beginning to feel like I hate Christmas.
Jamie yay for the new bedroom furniture. We are off to choose a carpet for my 'workroom' first new carpet ever after erhum 21 years of marriage. It is a very difficult decision we have already been to look once!
This week not so good on the exercise front:
Mon 1 hour ride as much as could do in icy conditions
Thurs 2 mile walk school run (snowing to start and rain in the valley sopping wet on return)
Fri 1/2 mile to car (bottom of lane due to snow/ice) then 1 mile home I parked car in car park on slope (dont ask foggy brain too much to do made the wrong decision) thinking it was ok then watched another car slide sideways to the bottom of said car park. Mmmm return to car and it isn't where I parked it, it has slid a full car width sideways and 3ft backwards. Thanks to a construction company working at the bottom end of the car park it didn't add to the other three cars that were apparently written off today because they carried 4 hefty breeze blocks up to chock the downhill wheels melting the ice around them before placing them. Nice that there are still some people about that rather than taking photos for facebook or video for youtube did something to help. Hopefully they are now tucking into the box of beer I bought them as a thankyou!
NSD almost all the way No dairy hard cheeses occasionally and homemade ghee Still trying to work out what makes me tick and what makes me drop

Hi Everyone! Yesterday I cleaned house for 2.5 hours, walked 2 miles, and swam 1/2 mile BEFORE I sold cookies at a fundraiser for 3 hours. Then? Yep. Home crying like a little baby with a clay hot pack on my sacrum... Whoops! Overdid it on a good day AGAIN. But hey, look at this super cool bike. I'm thinking this is what I want to get with the insurance money from my trike. Anyway, today I didn't do a lot, but curiously I feel pretty good. Go TEAM!

Was gonna go out for a walk, but drizzly all day, besides, spent the whole day pulling out my christmas decorations and decorating the house. It looks so nice and christmasy now; now all we need is the tree.
So that was my exercise for the day.

Over the weekend I walked about 2km on soft sand. And swam about the same in open ocean swims and 500m of board paddling. (lifeguard rescue boards) Add to that standing for 6hrs straight on Saturday whilst training my newest lot of Bronze medallion squad (Life savers). Can hardly walk and feet and hands feel like they are on fire.

Saturday's run 8.04miles in 1 hour 29 minutes. Right now I am sitting at the airport waiting... The flight is delayed, and I am going to miss my connection. On my way to Washington DC for work. It is not starting very well:(
