this past year, tried something new:

luv my ugg loafers.

no arch support to throw my feet off. cushioning nobby things on the bottom of them. like the first pair so much, bought a second pair. I leave one pair at work, have the other pair home.

Sue

Do you have a website or pic so I could see what they look like?

They sound great!

well, already ugg didn't have them on their website, hoping its a seasonal thing and they'll be back in the fall.

but if not, found them through this company:

http://www.zappos.com/ugg-voyageur-chocolate-leather

the ugg odyssa look good too, but i know the voyageur ones are good.

yes expensive but my feet so love me right now, and i can't put a price on that.

Sue,

I SO agree before I had issues I never thought about my feet but always made sure that my kids had good expensive shoes for their feet...I dont know if I fully believe that was necessary I think if you have foot issues but at the time thought I was doing the right thing and still do..lol

My Moms had diabetes and Bill has diabetes so I know about the expensive shoes. We have had to spend up to $200.00 on Bill 1 pair of dress shoes made for his feet BUT he has had them for like 5 years, my Mom the same.

Now that I have inflammation in my feet and they hurt I tend to buy alot of slip ons and I think Nike maybe its Rebok but they are like tennis shoes but slip ons about $65.00 thats alot for me..lol

I know as I get older too I want to take care of my feet.

hi jet,

i have a questions for you. this is after knowing you went through this, just now reading your post about it, and knowing you won't know the full effect til april. still here are my questions:

i can see how this might be good for someone who has these things due to mechanical damage, did something, pulled / tore something, heal it up, problem solved.

but if spondy causes these areas, these entheses to become inflamed, then wouldn't after the treatment, they just continue to become inflamed again? wouldn't the problem come back? almost like others have commented on for prolotherapy?

but of course results speak the loudest, so i will ask you, knowing you have AS, how has this helped you? how would you rate it? would you recommend it for others with enthesitis / spondy?

Hi Sue, my foot feels more free as i think the treatment has stretched the plantar fascia from the heal area that had spur. In my case the plantar fascia was thickened also, this treatment doesnt make it thinner but it provides more blood flow to the area and this is meant to help the natural healing process. Ive been told to ice and rest it heaps to aid the healing process also. it takes so long for this to heal (100 days +) if its going to at all.

rhuemy gave me a choice of injections or this and considering last time i had heel spur it took about 3 years of injections to come good i thought this might be a better treatment option for me at least for plantar fasciitis. i guess its a treatment not cure for symptoms of plantar fasciitis - and it might not even be related to AS.

thanks for the info! hope it works out well for you long term!

keep us posted! i'll be wondering! and watching!

and i'm with you: if it seems noninvasive, worth a try, you just never know what might help, good to keep an open mind, try new things smile

i wasnt too keen on the injections all over again because you just dont know how many times you gonna get jabbed before you start to feel some kind of relief if at all. I also went and got a good pair of shoes and am avoiding wearing my aussie thongs (flip flops in your lingo).
