If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Bea, I read where they were just opening up some roads on Sunday! Maybe, sometime, you cna plan a trip - also black Hill and see Mount Rushmore...... Hawaii, is a hoot. I love Hoiaidiah's (sp) near the Univedrsity. It is a sushi bar, but has all you can eat sea food and much of it is cooked! I ate a lot of crab, those 2 days... My son in -law- Brian flies Hawaiian Air. look for him. 6 foot, brown, red hair, big friendly face. He is a co=pilot.

Lon, I will be canning salsa and spaghetti sauce. I prefer to eat food without insecticides and chemicals. Last year I bought myself a 23 qt pressure canner. I sure hope I can lift it this summer. I was in much better condition then. Donna

Donna, More snow last night - I am glad that I waited! I think I iwll put some maters in pots that I can roll in the garage! They won't freeze and I can find a bit of sun for a while! You may have to find a way to just bring p[art of the batch out at a time? Please keep me posted. I think we get way too much junk with our food. I am glad you are taking care of yourself! Lon

One thing I have learned is that I can freeze the tomatoes if they all ripen on one of my bad days. When I take them out of the freezer, the skins slip off as they thaw. They might not be good to salads or slicing in a sandwich, but frozen tomatoes are just fine for cooking and canning. I did this last year because I had so many tomatoes and it was getting too hot to can. Does your wife still can? Everyone loves my salsa and the jars make good gifts. Donna

Donna, Lin does some canning. But I have not had a garden to pseak of here in Wyoming. In Nebgraska we put up some stuff. I think we have a bit of salsa left. I also have pull the tomatoes and put them in the garage. Often the tomatoes will stay a month or more, if the garge gets some light. And of course, I love fried green tomatoes! She always has a herb gardenin a planter. It is amazing how nice and sweet it is coming fresh like that.

I have done the garage thing with my plants. I try to buy my seedlings early, as soon as I see them in the store. I have learned that if I wait to buy them when the weather warms up, the supply of tomatoes gets smaller. A couple of years ago, I planted a bunch in the garden, only to lose them all in a late frost. By then, my favorite varieties were all sold out. Donna

Lon have your ever tried water walls for your tomatoes. I have had some luck planting tomatoes mid April then removing the walls in June. Problem is unless you rais your own seedling it is hard to find plants until now. I will be buying plants this week end and putting them out in the Water walls next week. Have a great day and good luck garding in Wyoming. That is almost an Oxymoron statement. Snowing here this morning.

Smed, I think you are on to something. But with the amount of snow I have now, it will be a few days. I also wonder where to get top-soil; that is not contaminated?
I will not give up... Lon

Right now I have a bunch of seedlings sitting in the garage. It's not cold, it's been windy and the wind sucks all the moisture out of my baby plants. I had a bunch planted out in the garden and I am watering like crazy just to keep them alive.
Of course the wind isn't helping my AS. I am hurting so much right now, there is no way I could plant anything. I really hate it when we have the north wind. Donna
