If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

I'm getting there. I'm fully outfitted now, but realized last night that I'm going to need a lumbar support belt - especially for longer trips. Also, for the first time I fully felt the fusion in my left SI. Tried to mount the bike from the right. I did it, but not easily. My left hip really did not want to let my leg go high enough. When I get on the bike from the left it's fine, as my right SI hasn't yet managed to fuse, so I can lift my right leg more easily. Ah the adventures of an AS Kickin' Biker Queen!!! Hugs,
Kat

Hi Sera, my rheumy told me to go off the Enbrel while on antibiotics. Cellulitis-wow-nasty. I'm just wondering, but did you stick the needle in the alcohol swiped zone, or were you just out of range of where you swiped? I've often wondered what could happen if I just missed the target zone slightly??? Strange musing, I know. I guess one could check on a latex allergy by having your doctor or dentist touch your exposed skin with a latex glove. I work in a dental office and out of probably 2000 people, there may be 1 or 2% that react to latex, and when they do, it's very obvious. In that case, there are vinyl gloves, but that's a different story. The 50mg pre-filled have latex in the needle caps, I think-the warning's in the literature somewhere. All the best in your recovery...
Blessings, Sigrid

How are you doing?
I showed my belly to my dr and he said to stop the enbrel. I would still get the hives and even now it's been a week and still have them around the red splotch from the shot three weeks ago! He said it's probably a reaction to the enbrel itself, but it could be latex. I told him bandaids bother me a bit but rubber gloves never bother me. I said I thought it was the adhesive not the latex because even the cloth bandaids bother me. So I guess it could be the enbrel itself. He's hoping remicade will work for me.
Wishing you well and am glad you are in good hands! Let us know what the dr says.

Hi there,
I'm better in terms of the infection (cellulitis) I got after the Enbrel. After the IV antibiotics I had to take oral antibiotics for 10 days, so I'm still taking those. In the meantime, I stopped taking the Enbrel until the docs decide what to do next. I have a feeling that I too will be switching over to the Remicade.
Please keep in touch and let me know if and when you begin your Remicade treatment.
Take care, Sera.

I had a very similar site reaction to Enbrel-- fist sized, red, uncomfortable. My doctor had me discontinue the drug. I switched to Remicade which I tolerate well.
