Hello gang,

Well, I had a successful liver biopsy last Friday... definitely not as painful as a bad flare, but nothing I would like to revisit anytime in this lifetime. Felt like a small electric shock going across my front midsection when they made the actual "snip" from the liver. That feeling stayed with me for 15-20 minutes, but not as intense.

When the doctor took the "snip", he said afterwards he had a good sample... well he is lucky, not sure I was going to let him have a 2nd chance

Was outpatient surgery and took it easy over the weekend to recover. Can not even tell now that I had it performed.

Maybe now I can finally get some answers for my liver. Results should be ready in 5 days, but do not have appointment with doctor until July. Maybe I will call beforehand.

Took the weekend to watch the Matrix again... the original... trying to figure out the "philosophy" around the movie. If anyone knows it let me know

Take care,

Tim

Hi Tim,

Doesn't sound like lots of fun. Just about as fun as an apple diet. July is a long time to wait for results. I would call them before then to find out what they have to say about it. And hopefully they would call if anything was wrong, but you can't always count on that happening. I havn't seen Matrix so can't help you out there. Hope your liver biopsy results give you some answers that you are looking for. Thanks for all you suggestions when I was on the apple fast. Take care.

Hi there..
Glad you got that liver biopsy over with !
I saw the 1st Matrix...havent had a chance to see the sequel. Sorry dont know the philosophy behind it!

Did see "Bringing down the House" with Steve Martin and Queen Latifah. I laughed so hard through that movie...I actually forgot about my back for over an hour!!

I would definitely give the doc a call in a couple weeks to make sure everything was okay with your biopsy.

Take care..

Hey Tim~

I think I may have missed something somewhere... what prompted the doctor to want a liver biopsy done? Are your LFT's abnormal or did they find something on a CT Scan?
I would definatly be calling in 5 days to find out the results. But, I'm kinda bossy-saucy that way!
Hope my questions aren't too intrusive, if so, just tell me NOYB! and I'll understand.

Take care of yourself!!!!

I just brought the Animatrix on DVD, have not watched it yet, but it is suppose to fill in the blanks.
Should be available over there as well. (You might want to rent it).
It has a good short from the team that did Final Fantasy the movie.
I saw the short film, when I went to Dreamcatcher.

hoping for good results for you,a bone marrow test in no fun either. I thought I was tough, and limped out with my tail tucked under me. Matrix-goodness vs. evil, good guy saves humanity, everyone tells me don't go to deep into either version. X2 not much better or deeper, waiting for the Hulk!!!! now that has substance. I love all special effects, oh the rush-opps it's my AS again, time for meds. Arthur -Hmmm maybe 5ml of methadone goodnight all-weeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!

I'm real glad to hear that your biopsy went well. Good job the Doc did it right the first time eh! I wouldn't have wanted to be in his shoes had he wanted to take a second!

Regards to the Matrix.... basic philosphy I think is machines are bad... people are good... so go out and KICK SOME A*S*

That philosophy works for me on multiple levels!!

Glad you are recovering well..... let us know how it goes.

Glad the biopsy went well. Never had to have one, hope I never do - although I've been thinking of getting one to check for coeliac disease.

Hmmm, the Matrix' underlying philosophy - you can't trust anyone!!

Hugs,

Kat

Hi Tim!

5 days seems normal, but I'd call earlier too,... rather than waiting all that time. I sure hope the test results prove you have rebounded back to healthy! Let us know when you hear!

Matrix? Hmmm, perhaps it amounts to our environmental consciousness ~ we reap what we sow!?!

Take care!

Too funny Deborah.... if you take out the olive oil, than the apple diet is better than the biopsy
