You guys are so awesome. I'm getting better at coping with things, and hope that as more days go by, I'll get even better at it. My sweetie is being philosophical and pragmatic. He's my tower of strength. He would say I'm his, but this week, I'm not feeling so much like a tower.

I wish I had it in me to respond to each of you individually. I hope you understand.

We are doing what we can to stave off the probable end result of the events of this past week. I took today off work to regroup. Have to go in the rest of the week, but today I was home with my sweetie.

Thank goodness for his sense of humour, and our pup, who keeps us in smiles and chuckles. Imagine a 110lb behemoth who's still under a year old. She keeps trying to be a lap dog, like she could a few months ago. Pounces on her favorite ball and her antler (yes, you can buy antlers that have been shed - the best toy for a puppy with jaws stronger than those of most fully grown dogs, who goes through most toys in about a half hour). She's so proud of herself every time she pulls a stick out of the snow.

We called the Prime Minister's office for advice, and they told us to go to Syria, lose our passports and then get arrested ... then our government will forget we're Canadian! (His sense of humour and really, only a Canuck will really get this one.)

We're hanging in and pulling for a positive result.

Love and Warm hugs,

Kat
