Just a little tiny wheeny take with a grain of salt warning:
I could not tolerate cabbage/sauerkruat... I did not realize it until four months into the diet- I was just in constant, unbareable pain...(I switched from starch pain to cabbage pain) I did not realize that it was that new food that was triggering me, as EVERyONE eats it and it is soooooo good for gut health. I just kept pounding it. I did not realize what it was that was nailing me to the wall, until I did a total elimination diet. Then it was VERY clear. My daily pain dropped 2-3 points.
My point is not that you may be fine with cabbage, but anyone should realize that foods that bother you may not cause other people problems and vice versa. For example, I do amazing with avocados, but lots of people seem not to tolerate them. We are our own guinne pigs.... unfortunately.
