It bothers me that the use of chemical fertilizer in agriculture is occasionally mentioned as a possible environmental trigger in cancer, and has had me buying more organic produce as a result. Fortunately I doubt if the gardeners in Hyde Park use much fertilizer, they are too short of money these days to do much fancy cultivation. So the only chemical contaminants running into the Serpentine will be the agents used to clean that blasted 'fountain' built to commemorate that silly woman who was stupid enough to marry that big charly. Won't stop my addiction to the water though ....
