Hi Sharon,

Ooooooooooooh ouchee! The pain seems like it is radiating out from the bottom of your tailbone, it temorarily immobilizes you when you try to stand up if you've been sitting for longer than 15 minutes and it is sheer strength of mind that makes you stand up? That's the pain right?

Here's my current quick-fix. I take a train to and from work, it's an hour ride each way. The first thing I used was a little gardening knee pad which I covered in a black spandex material so I could take it off and wash it. Black also being the standard train color. It's the rectangular one that's squishy with an easy to clean surface? It worked for awhile.

Then I tried sitting on my coat because I was frustrated. Not practical or useful. Besides,no one likes walking around with a wrinkled coat even if ones bottom feels better.

My current fix is from Kohls. There was this super squishy (almost like gel bean bag squishy) toy they sold at Christmas. I bought obe designed for the neck and have been sitting on it since.

I hope these ideas help some. It's of course also a good idea to sit up ram-rod straight all the time, no slouching!

Luck to you!
